Sales Terms & Conditions 

The terms and conditions below apply to all sale transactions made with Lapy King. Please read carefully and contact us if you have any questions. 

Deposit Policy: The customer must pay a deposit amount equivalent to 20% of the total purchase order prior to Lapy King fulfilling the order. This deposit is fully refundable if the order is cancelled, subject to our cancellation policy.

However, a cancellation fee of $50 applies if the order is a ‘special order’ (item not in stock) or the ordered item had been modified or upgraded at the customer’s request.

Refund Policy: Purchased items can only be refunded or exchanged within 14 days of purchase. In order to receive a refund or exchange, the customer must produce a valid proof of purchase, and must return the item in its original condition including the original packaging and all accessories. However, all returns and exchanges are at our discretion (subject to the requirements of the Trade Practices Act 1974) and must be approved prior to the return or exchange of the goods. We do not accept non-faulty returns based upon a change of mind or wrong decision. Where goods are faulty or incorrectly described, and a refund or exchange is approved by us, a customer may choose between a refund, exchange or credit note. Please note that computer software may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase if the product is faulty or defective. However, where the plastic seal is broken and the software is neither faulty nor defective, the return or exchange will not be accepted due to copyright and licensing restrictions. Please also note that in some instances the customer may be required to contact the relevant manufacturer of the product. Lapy King reserves the right to process all refunds directly into your bank account by the next business day regardless of the original payment method.

Lay-By Policy: A lay-by purchase is an agreement between Lapy King and the customer whereby we agree to hold the goods until the customer has paid the total selling price in instalments within a fixed period. The first payment must represent 20% of the total purchase amount and the final payment must be made within 6 weeks, being the maximum length of the lay-by period. The goods can be picked-up by the customer when the full purchase price is paid. Our lay-by service is free of charge. The price of the goods is fixed once the lay-by contract is made. Price changes for identical goods during the lay-by period do not affect the lay-by agreement. Customers are entitled to cancel a lay-by at any time before they receive the goods subject to a $150 cancellation fee. The lay-by is deemed cancelled if the customer breaks the terms of the lay-by agreement.

Warranties: All products sold by Lapy King are covered by manufacturers’ warranties. We do not guarantee the functionality or compatibility of products.

Goods Supply: Goods are not supplied on a trial basis; please check the specifications and compatibility with the manufacturer prior to purchasing. Although our staff can offer advice, they cannot confirm product compatibility.

Delivery Dates: While we aim to deliver your purchase as soon as possible, the delivery dates given are only estimates and we do not accept responsibility or liability for late deliveries.

Payment: Unless you have an approved account facility with Lapy King, payment is strictly due on collection of the goods. You can make payment by EFTPOS, Visa, MasterCard, Amex (surcharge applies), cash or bank cheque. Personal cheques or company cheques are not accepted without prior arrangement.
