Why should I buy from Lapy King?
We are an established Australian family owned company with a long trading record and a good reputation. We have so far sold over 12,000 laptops and have over 20,000 satisfied customers in our database. We aim to offer good quality products at very competitive prices. We are often the cheapest in the market and we don’t advertise stock we don’t have or can’t get. Plus we offer a hassle free return policy if the item you bought happens to be faulty. We pay for the return postage and give full refund if a replacement is not available. We are available to answer your questions by email or by phone. You can even buy from any of our two locations for the same great online prices. Our team is knowledgeable and courteous and is available to assist you. top

Is your website secure?
We process your card payments through SecurePay, a specialised online payment business owned by Australia Post. SecurePay is Australia's leading payment gateway.  SecurePay holds the highest level of PCI DSS accreditation. You can shop with confidence knowing that your personal information is encrypted and securely processed. top

Who do you use to ship my order and how much does it cost?
We use Australia Post eParcel service to ship all goods from our Sydney location. The cost is a factor of the weight of the order and the location of the shipping address. We do not add any margins to the shipping cost. You can find out the shipping cost by adding the desired products in your shopping cart, and then by adding your state and post code in the ‘Shipping Cost’ box. top

Where do you ship to?
We can ship to any address in Australia. We do not ship overseas. top

Do you accept PO BOX addresses?
No. We require a physical address for fraud minimisation and for tracking purposes. top

How long before you ship my order?
We aim to pick, pack and send out your order within three business days from payment receipt. However, we may from time to time take up to 10 working days to send out your order due to heavy demand or fraud clearance delays. top

How long does my order take to get to me?
Once shipped from our Sydney location, your order may be delivered the next business day or up to 6 days if you are based in a remote location. top

Can I track my order?
We will email you a confirmation email containing an Australia Post tracking number once we ship your order. You can use the tracking number to track progress of your parcel shipment at: http://auspost.com.au/track/  but please allow 12 to 36 hours for Australia Post to scan your parcel into their tracking system. top

Do you part-ship an order?
We may at first fulfil part of your order and there may be some delay before the balance of your order is shipped out. top

Do you insure my shipment?
Shipments are not covered by transit cover insurance unless you select this option during checkout. Transit cover insurance is calculated at the cost of $1.80 per $100 of covered value. top

What happens if I am not home when the delivery is attempted?
In the event that no one is at the delivery address to sign for the goods, Australia Post will leave a collection card and would return the goods to your nearest Australia Post outlet for your collection within 5 business days (on presentation of a valid ID). top

Can I pick up my order from your warehouse?
Yes. You can use our address at 90 Dunning Avenue Rosebery NSW 2018 as the order's shipping address if you wish to collect your goods from our warehouse. Note however that payment must be made online inclusive of the shipping and handling fee, which is non-refundable. Without exceptions, we need to see a valid photo ID and the credit card used in the purchase (when applicable) before we release the goods. top

We will call you when the order is ready for pick-up. Please don’t come to the warehouse beforehand to avoid disappointment. You must pick up your order within 10 working days or the order would be deemed as cancelled. top

What payment method do you accept?
We accept online payment by PayPal, Visa and Mastercard (we accept payments from cards issued by Australian banks only). All payments must be made through the online checkout process. We do not accept payments over the phone. We do not accept payments made from overseas locations unless by prior arrangement.  You can also pay by Direct Deposit into our bank account. top

What brands of laptops do you sell?
We mainly sell genuine and new Toshiba and ASUS laptops and some HP models (occasionally, we also offer some refurbished models). We have become experts in those reputable brands and strongly believe that those three brands are best value for money with the best after sales support and replacement parts logistics. top

Can I cancel my online order?
Yes. An order may be cancelled before it has left our premises with no cancellation fee. However, a cancellation fee of $100 or 10% of the total purchase order, whichever is higher, applies if the stock had to be ordered from our supplier or the ordered item had been modified or upgraded at the customer’s request. top

Can I return my order?
Without excluding your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, purchased items can only be refunded or exchanged within 14 days of purchase. In order to receive a refund or exchange, you must produce a valid proof of purchase and must return at your cost the items in their original condition and packaging including the in-box accessories and manuals. If you want to return items outside the above conditions, including faulty items, you must first obtain a written return authority from us by emailing your request to info@lapyking.com.au. Subject to the requirements of the Australian Consumer Laws, all returns and exchanges are at our discretion. Please note that we cannot accept the return of opened ‘in-ears’ headsets due to hygiene regulations and we cannot accept the return of computer software with broken plastic seal due to copyright and licensing restrictions unless the software is defective. top

Do you warrant the products that you sell?
All products sold by Lapy King are covered by manufacturers’ warranties. We do not guarantee the functionality or compatibility of products. The products we sell have some technology limitations. These limitations are common or are defined standards within the It industry and are not specific to our products. For instance, the TFT displays may present up to 6 non-conforming pixels (bright or dark spots) representing less than 0.0003% error rate or the DVD-ROM or Blu-Ray drive and software player may not play certain movie titles due to regionalisation or other security levels set by the title producer. These cases are a limitation of technology and do not represent a defect in the product. Please refer to the vendor's full warranty conditions for more details. top
